UP TO 87% GREATER KINGPIN CONTACT AREA

The improved locking system features a forged steel rear lock that is forged, hardened and machined, as well as a machined cast steel front lock.  There is also a greater kingpin contact area of 7.5 sq. in. - up to 87% greater contact area over competitive models, which provides longer kingpin and lock life.  High coupling protection protects against coupling at an improper height.  The FW17 Series also features a patent pending lock adjustment system that makes the adjustment process simple and readily accessible.

NEW PATENT PENDING RELEASE MECHANISM

New patent pending release mechanism utilizes a lever arm design to minimize the pull effort required.  This release mechanism also provides an automatic secondary lock to assure safe operation.

MINIMUM EFFORT DROP RELEASE HANDLE

The drop release handle requires minimum effort and protects the handle from damage during a missed couple.
